 ZFG UTV started back in 2018 as a hobby in a small town in the Pacific Northwest. We have been into UTV’s since 2013, starting out with a Polaris 800. Shortly after, we decided to get into UTV racing, which is the best, WORST idea ever. We soon found out how expensive they were to build, and there weren’t many options to send your transmission to be built. At the time, the only option was to buy an OEM one, which had the same issues and would break just as easily.

This led us to taking apart and upgrading bearings, installing HD parts, such as thicker pinion plates and bigger reverse chains. One thing led to another, and we started to research how to regear them. After word got out that we were building our own transmissions, people started asking us to build custom upgraded transmission for them as well.

We have been in it long enough to try every different variation/part you can think of. We have learned from trial and error what works and what doesn’t. Some people push products that they have never tested themselves or quite frankly, aren’t that good. We have used different treated products while racing, that still didn’t hold up to the extreme environment.

In the end, ZFG UTV does quality work, and has the knowledge to back the products they choose to use daily for upgrades.
